"Smith and Granados" is the last in a series of lectures and other activities organised around the "Ismael Smith. Paris Sketchbook" exhibition at the Museu d´Art de Cerdanyola del Vallès, which will run until 13 March.

The lecture will be held at the Museu d´Art de Cerdanyola, Carrer Sant Martí 88, Cerdanyola del Vallès, on 17 March at 19:30.

Programme of activities

The Fondation de l´Hermitage is organizing a major exhibition devoted to Spanish art at the dawn of the 20th century. Focusing on painters of "The Generation of 1898" who emerged from the severe upheavals endured by Spain throughout the 19th century, the exhibition highlights how these artists evolved. Oscillating between respect for Hispanic traditions and modernity, their works were part of the contemporary surge to broaden horizons that arose among the Spanish avant-garde.

In Spring 2011, the Neue Galerie will present an exhibition entitled Vienna 1900: Style and Identity.
