This Modernista house owned by the Bolet family, designed by the Vilafranca architect Santiago Güell, was built in 1911. It is located within Castellví de la Marca municipality, on the Mas Lluet estate, where the family owns a winery, producing Bolet ecological wines and caves.
The family has lived in the building since 1911, moving there from the original 1619 Catalan masia or farmhouse adjacent to it. The current owners, sixth-generation vintners of the Bolet family, who live on the building's top floor, opened a small, five-room boutique hotel on the piano nobile, on 1 August 2020.
When facing the building, you view a façade of a symmetrical composition with a peaked roof, crowned by an undulating cornice that displays floral ornaments on its centre and sides. On the roof, a chimney is decorated in trencadís tile mosaic.
The house is distributed over a ground and two upper floors. The top floor boasts a gallery of semi-circular arches supported on fine columns ornamented with spirals, capitals depicting plant decoration and balustrades. The floors are separated by continuous cornices, while openings are crowned by moulded depressed arches decorated with floral elements and stylised acanthus leaves.
On the piano nobile, the central and end openings each have a balcony with interesting wrought-iron railings in a Modernista style.
