The Petit Palais presents the exhibition "Károly Ferenczy: Hungarian Modernity". Considered one of the most significant painters of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Hungarian artist Károly Ferenczy (1862-1917) is revealed by this retrospective to be a key figure of Modernity in Central Europe.

The display features almost 140 pieces, including landscapes, portraits, family scenes, biblical subjects, nudes and caricatures.

The exhibition brings you into a wonderous animal kingdom with a monkey rock, a reptile enclosure and a bird garden. Discover animals with a multitude of colors and shapes, find the unmissable or hidden animals, and admite the craftsmanship of these special objects.

To commemorate the bicentenary of the Belgian-glass factory, the exhibition presents the extraordinary artistic production of Val Saint-Lambert between 1880 and 1914. During this period, the factory was influenced by Japonism and the rise of Art Nouveau. It showcases previously unseen pieces from public and private collections and explores the techniques developed at Val Saint-Lambert during its golden age. It is complemented by paintings, posters and furniture from the Belle Époque, sourced from the city's museum collections.

Tate Britain is hosting the exhibition "James McNeill Whistler", Europe's largest retrospective in three decades of this figure of modern art who was hugely influential, not least on the Art Nouveau style. Featuring more than 150 works including painting, drawing, printmaking and design, as well as previously unseen sketchbooks and notebooks, the display explores how Whistler (1834-1903) created his pioneering ethereal visions of modern life and largely foretold the future of modern art.
